WOODEN WICK USAGE & CARE:

Wooden wicks are fantastic and once you try them you will love them as much as Chase does! They’re made from natural wood, and we love that they create a crackling sound similar to a fireplace when burning. Once you get used to using wooden wicks, you’ll love the enhanced ambience that pairs perfectly with a perfectly scented candle.

…BUT THERE IS CARE INVOLVED TO MAINTAINING THE BEST BURN AND ELONGATED USESO PLEASE READ BELOW IF THIS IS YOUR FIRST TIME USING A WOODEN WICK!

The first time you use your candle, ensure an even by lighting the wooden wick and let the candle burn until the wax melts all the way out to the edges of the jar. Plan for approximately 30 minutes to an hour. This will help to keep wax from pooling around the wick for the next time you use the candle.

Even if the flame appears to burn low at times, it will continue to burn.

While using, protect the candle from any drafty areas or from a breeze and make sure not to move or handle the candle while it is burning.

After use and when the candle has been extinguished and completely cooled down, you can use your finger or a tissue object to gently break off the ash from the top of the wooden wick.

If ever your wooden wick is pooled with wax, very carefully use a spoon or safe object to clear some of the wax around the wick. Be extremely careful to not break the wooden wick.

CANDLE CARE:

To ensure the safety, quality, and durability of your candle, please follow the instructions below: as well as special care for the wooden wick.

Each time you use your candle, be sure to let it burn until the wax on the surface is completely liquid. This can take 2 to 3 hours and will allow your candle to burn more evenly the next time.

Never let the candle burn out unattended

Never let the candle burn for more than 4 hours at a time

Always place the candle on a heat-resistant, non-flammable surface away from fabrics and curtains

When 5 millimeters of wax are left, it is time to buy a new one! DIY options are to use the empty jar as a tea-light holders, small flower holders and even as a keepsake.
